About the company

The Pretax Group is a rapidly growing company specializing in financial management services. Pretax services cover the whole spectrum of financial management, from accounting and payroll processing to consulting services. The company employs over one thousand experts and has 40 offices in Finland and subsidiaries in Norway, Sweden, the Baltic States and Russia. In addition, the Pretax Group provides financial management and payroll processing services in cooperation with its Accountor Group partner in the United Kingdom.

The history of Pretax began in 1944 with the establishment of a company called Konekirjanpito Oy (lit. ‘machine bookkeeping’). The founders were staff officers in the accountancy division of the military district of East Karelia, who transferred their wartime expertise directly to civilian life. In 1986, Asko and Tina Schrey founded Pretax, and with strong growth since 2000, it has developed into the biggest specialist company in financial administration in Finland. Konekirjanpito became part of the Pretax Group in 2000.
