Good HR management system
Citycon Oyj is a property investment company concentrating on retail business premises. It is also the market leader in shopping centre management in Finland. The company leases, manages and develops its property portfolio and also plans and commissions the construction of new premises. Citycon is based in Helsinki, with offices in all locations in Finland where it manages shopping centres. The company has pursued a policy of vigorous expansion in the past year and now employs personnel in Sweden, Estonia and Lithuania.
Pretax has been handling the payroll administration of Citycon in Finland for some years now. In spring 2006, Citycon adopted the web-based HR management tool supplied by Pretax.
Citycon has doubled its personnel in Finland to 55 in the space of a few years. There are a further 15 employees abroad. The company needed a tool for storing basic data on the personnel and for generating various samples and reports. Being a publicly traded company, Citycon must release reports on personnel every three months. The company also requires statistics on the educational attainment and the age, gender, organization and job distribution of personnel.
"We are very pleased with Pretax services and tools. We now perform much more efficiently. We used to have to spend a lot of time gathering information, but now we can simply perform searches in the system. Since the application was leased from Pretax, we did not have to invest any capital, recruit technical experts or worry about further development. The start-up was very easy, thanks to support from Pretax," says Outi Raekivi, head of legal affairs at Citycon.
