It is essential to continue developing one's competence
Office Manager and accountant Mari Tammivirta has been working at the Pretax offices in Tampere and Hämeenlinna for over five years. Her career in the Pretax Group started when Kirjanpitotoimisto Rantanen, an accounting firm in Tampere, joined the Group in 2000. Mari moved to Hämeenlinna in summer 2004, first to a small privately owned accounting firm, but then back to the Pretax Group for more challenging and demanding duties at the beginning of 2005. In the following autumn, she also became the Office Manager and is now the head of the whole office in Hämeenlinna.
In addition to basic accounting, Mari's duties consist of accounting and annual accounts for companies in the restaurant and construction businesses. Mari finds it important that the job is challenging and that one needs to develop one's competence all the time. "Working for the Pretax Group has been interesting and challenging. There is a constant need to update your knowledge in this job as the legislation changes and the programmes develop. The Pretax Group ensures that our professional skills keep up with the development and our competence grows." Mari took the distinguished KLT accounting and auditing examination at the beginning of the 1990s and has regularly participated in supplementary training after that. "The Pretax Institute is an excellent place for further training; the range of different types of courses is broad and up to date.
