SMN to become part of Pretax
The Pretax Group, the biggest financial management and payroll processing services company in Finland, will be strengthening its supply of application services when Jyväskylä-based software company SMN Information Oy becomes part of Pretax. SMN Information Oy, which was established in 2002, specializes in the design and implementation of Internet-based software.
SMN Information Oy offers software to its customers in the form an ASP service. The TyövuoroVelho application improves the planning of workshifts and the management of working hours. SijaisVelho makes the acquisition of replacement and substitute employees easier and quicker for employers.
"SMN Information's software will complement our services in the planning and management of human resources excellently. Pretax is already the market leader in selected fields with its Mara-Plan software for planning workshifts and now we will be able to offer our customers complete browser-based applications," says Jouko Haapamäki, the managing director of Pretax Plan Oy.
Petteri Nenonen, the managing director of SMN Information Oy, states that becoming part of Pretax will bring major benefits to the rapidly expanding company.
"With the merger we will obtain the background support of a big company as well as a nationwide sales channel and partnership network. We have taken into consideration in our product development the special features of Pretax's customers and in the spring we will be launching the service solutions arranged just for them."
All the present shareholders of SMN Information Oy will continue to be shareholders and employees of the company.
